How are you?
We’re okay (which, indeed, is better than not okay).
So far, 2022 had us:
- Cancel our NYE event
- Postpone the start of classes
- Close dine-in at The Tin Table
- Cancel dances with live bands
- Curse the fact that we know so many people, including some on staff, who have come down with COVID.
But, our preference is to look at it this way:
- The sun is out for longer
- People are still coming out dancing masked and vaccinated
- Classes start this week with lots of new classes being added and a couple of new instructors
- The Tin Table is re-opening for indoor dining with limited capacity
- And, if you had to be in the business of running a dance/event venue, we are LUCKY! 4500 sq. feet, 25’ ceilings, walls of windows and fans; we couldn’t ask for a better place to gather and dance inside.
What’s changing?
- Starting now KN95 masks will be required. If you don’t have one, we’ll have some available for $1
- New classes are being added: Hustle, Salsa 4, Foxtrot, Lindy 3, West Coast Swing 3, West Coast Skillz & Drillz, and a Shim Sham workshop that combines the Tap and Lindy Hop versions
What is still up in the air?
- We are not yet requiring booster shots to be considered fully vaccinated (but this could change at any time)
- What are we going to do for Century’s 25th Anniversary which we will celebrate during the weekend of Feb 25-27, 2022
- The date for Lorraine O’Neal’s Celebration of Life
Please continue to take care of yourself, and others. We all hope to see you in 2022!
With love from all of us,
-Hallie and the staff at Century Ballroom & The Tin Table
