Join expert swing dance instructors Peter Flahiff and Lauren Smith for their “Customize Your Swing Out, Customize Your Swivels” workshop! This three-hour workshop will give dancers the creative agency to investigate how they like to move as individuals and in partnership, as well as exploring the aesthetic styles of a broad range of original dancers. Students will be given the tools to be intentional about their movements and physical responses to music, giving each dancer access to the swing outs and swivels they’ve always wanted.
Prerequisites:
Students must have a clear and comfortable understanding of and ability to execute a swing out at a range of tempos. All students must have completed Lindy 1/Intro to Swing or equivalent and preferably at least one session of Lindy 2 or equivalent.
