Waltz Cafe

The twice-a-month dances we call the Waltz Café are usually about 50% Waltz and 50% other styles of dance music. On these Sunday afternoons you’ll dance to Swing, Blues, Country Two-Step, Latin, Foxtrot, Waltzes of all tempos and more. So, despite its name, the Waltz Café is truly a variety dance. Each month we feature live music on second Sundays and DJ’d music on fourth Sundays. Before each Waltz Café, at noon, experienced, compassionate (and funny) instructors lead a drop-in lesson for $10. Usually these are beginner-level lessons, but sometimes, when those in the lesson have more experience, the instructors will take their topics up a notch. It’s a friendly crowd and the Century is a grand venue for waltzing.
